John Lechner was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer in April 2016. Mr. Lechner had served as President, Eastern Hemisphere from January 2016 and Executive Vice President North Sea Region since August 2013, after joining Archer in August 2012.

Mr. Lechner has over 34 years of international oilfield experience, comprising assignments in the North American, African, European, Middle Eastern, Russian, and Australasian markets during employment with Schlumberger, Parker Drilling and OiLSERV, prior to joining Archer.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, he started his career as a wireline field engineer with Schlumberger, and over the past 20 years held operations, business development and line management roles in 14 countries.

Mr. Lechner is an American citizen and resides in Stavanger, Norway.
