Archer Tornar® BOP Cleaner
During milling operations, swarf and metal particles can migrate into BOP cavities and/or stick to slightly magnetic casing. Traditional methods of cleaning have proven difficult, conventional jet subs can jet debris deeper into BOP cavities.
The Tornar® BOP Cleaner removes wellbore debris from blow out preventer cavities safely, rapidly and reliably. The tool includes a combined string magnet, riser brush and junk basket. The Archer magnets are the strongest magnets available. The Archer Tornar® BOP cleaner creates a high velocity vortex of drilling fluid inside the BOP. As the high velocity circulation passes cavities it creates suction inside the cavity, and pulls any debris into the rotating column of drilling fluid. Any debris will stay suspended in the rotating column of fluid until captured by the magnets and/or junk basket.
